The work
Byron Jorjorian is a distinguished fine art nature photographer whose work reflects a lifelong dedication to capturing the beauty, character, and spirit of the natural world. His connection to nature began during his childhood in Meridian, Mississippi, where he spent countless hours exploring the forests, lakes, and streams surrounding his home, catching lizards, snakes, turtles, frogs, and other creatures along the way. His appreciation for art also began early as he watched his father, a commercial artist, create artwork for clients. Byron experimented with various artistic mediums until his late teens, when he picked up a camera—and never looked back. A self-taught photographer, Byron has spent more than 50 years documenting the natural world with an exceptional eye for both grandeur and subtle detail. His extensive archive now includes more than 675,000 images spanning landscapes, forests, waterways, botanicals, wildlife, and intimate studies of nature. Throughout his career, more than 12,000 of Byron’s images have been published on nationally distributed greeting cards, magazines, posters, books, brochures, advertising, and other media. His photography has also become an integral part of interior environments, with more than 28,000 fine art prints and large-scale murals installed throughout the United States and internationally. Today, Byron works closely with interior designers, art consultants, and their clients to create meaningful art experiences for healthcare, hospitality, corporate, and other commercial spaces. His work is known for bringing a sense of tranquility, depth, and connection to interior environments while reflecting the authenticity and timeless beauty of the natural world.
